Although illegal parking has been intensified, its existence is still rampant in some regions in the capital city. One of them is along Jalan Kebon Sirih, Menteng, Central Jakarta. Local residents complain it because this parking causes traffic congestion, precisely from Tanah Abang towards Tani Monument.

Relaying on Beritajakarta.com's data, Wednesday (3/2), dozens of cars are detected parking haphazardly along Jalan Kebon Sirih. Whereas parking ban sign was already installed.

Indra, (31), one of motorcyclists requested Jakarta Transportation Dept to immediately control illegal parking in such road. It happens at around 6 PM or at rush hour.

"Illegal parking is rampant when there is no officer standby. People awareness about parking is still low," he admitted.
